Noisy Gears Help.

Hello everyone, I'm kinda new to this whole mountain biking thing.
I recently invested in a Boardman Mountain Comp 2016 and everything has been in top shape. There are however two issues with the bike (Due to my own fault).
Number one. I completely messed up the front brake because when I was first assembling the bike I pushed on the brake handle too hard without any wheel in and the actual brake pad just burst and a bunch of fluid leaked out, I've saved the brake but every time I squeeze on the handle more fluid leaks out. It was an Avid DB1.
Secondly. The gears have just been noisy since I got the bike. They shift alright without any faults but there is a lot of noise (Clicking coming from the back wheel, and the chain hits something near the crank). It's an SRAM X5.
My question is, I'm taking my bike to the local shop to get serviced and I'm wondering whether these issues can be fixed without the need for new parts and then be made flawless as they were intended or will I need to buy new parts. It's a new bike and I'm anxious that I've already messed something up on it, money is also an issue so not buying parts is a lot cheaper.
Thanks for any replies guys

1. Burst brake - without details or pics we can't tell for sure, but a leaky brake isn't good. Sounds like it could be the seals. It shouldn't cost too much at your local LBS.
2. Noisy gears - that will just need some fettling. Your LBS will be able to sort that in 2 minutes.2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

Yep, burst brake hose near the caliper. Guy said I would need to buy a new front brake which is alright (They cost like £20). Also said he'd set it up for me for like £10 so I guess I'd have to talk to him about that too.

I really doubt you 'burst' the hose.I don't do smileys.

If they are similar to shimano if you press the lever without the wheel in you can push the plastic piston out too far and results in oil leaking from the brake caliper.
The local bike shop if you have a full service on the bike they should check and will most likely bleed the front brake which will sort out your problem with it.0 -

Would suggest getting the bike to the LBS and asking them later what exactly was wrong with it and how to fix it.0
