my lad is just outgrowing his 20 inch wheel muddy fox so im thinking about building him a 24 inch wheel bike, just wondered if any of you guys have done this!

    Built plenty of bikes, for my son and me over the years. He does it himself now. I thought it was quite common.

    The Carrera blast isnt a bad starting point, just get some lighter parts on it and either rigid forks or 24" suspension ones that work (or short travel 26" at a push) and they make a fairly good 'semi decent' kids bike.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
