carrera vengeance brakes

I have a carrera vengeance with mechanical disc brakes and I've purchased some hydraulic brakes for it I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the brake levers as they look like there one unit in the gear selector? Any help much appreciated thanks

    They probably are, so you'll need new shifters as well.

    Depends which year it is, mine had tektro mechanical disk brakes and seperate sram shifters.

    What make are the brakes? It should say on the levers or the calipers somewhere.

    If they are tektro, I don't think they make gears, so they will be seperate units,.
