Which bike is best!

When buying a second hand bike is it better to buy one that is newer but with an inferior frame and chainset or an older one?

Which of these would you get? All similarly priced but differing ages obviously.

Any bikes you think are a great deal second hand generally?

    Always, always go for the best frameset you can afford. Other bits can be changed later downthe line

    The bike that has been looked after the best, will be the best one to get.

    I'd test ride the ones I was interested in, and buy the one I liked the best.
