    Hello Chris,

I replaced my Emonda SL6 headset bearings recently. See links below, you might want to call BPS to confirm but I had no problems. No special tools required, just the usual greasing and correct torque settings for stem & top cap. Hope this helps.

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply gpgiant . . .I will post a report when I I have completed the job, but for now I have removed the old one and regreased it. It is not totally smooth but ok for a headset for now.

    cheers

  • Finally replaced the lower bearing on the 2015 Emonda SL6. I got the bearing from Edge Sports UK. They have a page dedicated to headset bearings . .

    http://www.edgesportsuk.com/store/compo ... rings.html

The lower bearing I got was a Trek Madone headset bearing | OD:51xID:40xH:6.5xA:36/36° | ACB6808SS. Cost me £21.

I used an X-Tools Headset Cup Remover Tool (£15) to remove the old one and fitting the new one was just a case of sliding it onto the cleaned fork crown with some fresh grease and refitting the fork.

    Thank you Edge Sports
