hi all

my bike has a 73 degree head tube angel i currently use a 3T +- 6 degree stem

I would like a lower drop and have seen a cenelli pista with a 65 degree angle, could someone explain what this equates to in comparison with my existing stem angle above

thanks

gazmon

Basically that stem will be pointing towards the ground. Changing from 6 to 25 degrees is a big change and you will also have to take into consideration the length of the stem as a 25 degree stem will shorten the reach (if you opt for the same length stem that you currently have) If you want to lower your reach you might be better off going for a 17 degree stem first rather than jumping straight onto a 25degree stem

    current 6°
pista 25°(i.e. 90-65, they just choose to specify it the other way round compared to 3t)

put numbers in here to see effect...

Look on line for stem calculators they will show exactly the effect changing a stem has.
