Seized XTR Front mech - is it safe to leave in citrus degreaser overnight?

My XTR front mech is seized. It began to free up a bit with WD40 but won't spring back to where it should, just stays in whatever position I manually move it to (even with the cable disconnected). Have a feeling it's just been gunked up with road salt/mud etc.
I have some dirt juice concentrated degreaserhttp://www.juicelubes.co.uk/dirt-juice-super-gnarl.html that I normally use on the bike (diluted of course).
Would there be any problem/potential damage if I soaked the mech in this (neat, not diluted) overnight to free it up? If not, what would be my best option?

can't imagine the degreaser damaging it but I would imagine that the mech has seized from rust as opposed to grease.
generally I find that spraying the moving parts with wd40 or plusgas, then working the parts to and fro frees them up.0 -
a mix of the degreaser for a few hours and WD40 seemed to do it.0
