Hi guys. I'm in the process of building up a De Rosa SK disc. I've had to convert my vision metron qr wheelset to 12mm axle end caps. What I need to know is which thru axles I need. Obviously 12mm but I don't fully understand the difference in 'pitch' Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Cheers.

You need to know the pitch/size of the thread in the frame and forks and then buy the appropriate thru axle. Ask De Rosa tech support (sorry I don't have the contact but I'm sure it would be easy to find) for the info. The issue with thru axles is that they need to match the frame/forks whereas a QR can swap easily between different ones as you have found out.

Cheers for that. Contacted i-ride who said the frameset should of been supplied with the thru axles and I should contact wiggle. Not sure why I need to contact wiggle really as they will just have to contact i-ride and ask for the axles.
Either way, it hopefully means I shouldn't have to buy them.
