I colour matched my new helmet to my old helmet so my Mrs wouldn't notice I'd bought a new one.

Unfortunately i left the box in the boot of my car and she borrowed the car and clocked it

My helmet will not be being coloured to match any bike frame EVER......besides you cant see it inside your shorts.

Fashion orientated hipsters, imagine the issues if you have more than one bike an they are different colours! Itll be enough to make them cry into their skinny soy latte with a shot of hazelnut.

Seriously though just get the helmet that fits you best colours a secondary concern most do black or white anyway.

I recently got a black (half gloss/half matt) MET Rivale and have to say its a stunning looking helmet, but more importantly fits extremely well. Obviously black 'goes' with any bike if that's your thing. My new best bike happens to be matt/gloss black with orange highlights but its just coincidence - unless I subconsciously bought the bike to match to the helmet......

Erm, surely you own more than one helmet?

I went out the other day wearing green kit on a red bike... the horror.

Do people have more than one helmet ? For years I only ever had the one.

Lately I do seem to have acquired a few more for different disciplines though but I bet most people only have the one.

I have two I currently use, a Bell and a Fox (I always take two when on trips in case I crash) but tend to hang onto my old ones as well, so have half a dozen or so.

This is what I went for, along with fluro yellow for my jacket and jersey.

If you have white shoes, get a white helmet ... If not, go for black ...

Black and/or white go with everything … which is why I have one of each (but then I do also have a white/black bike and a black/silver/white bike ... I like to keep the bigger purchases neutral so I can buy any kit that takes my fancy) …
Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.

I think you're all forgetting the glasses element to this. Surely if the OP has a pair of white framed Oakleys they would throw the above into doubt.

If they sit 0.5cm from the helmet you've got to factor matching those in somehow. That's ignoring the colour of the lenses.....

I have three helmets, plain matt black, matt white and a red with black/white detailing. My bikes were all mainly black with white/red detailing and so any of the helmets worked well with them. Then I went and bought a new bike which is matt blue but I don't really care anymore and have even been known to wear the red helmet with black/white kit and black/fluro green shoes coz I'm a bit mad like that...
