Trek 1200 SL - 56cm for 5'8?

Hi All,
A friend has given me a 56cm trek 1200 sl but I am 172cm. I have tried riding it and it feels absolutely fine to me, with the seat up a little. I have a little give in the standover height.
Should I give it back and try find a smaller frame?
