Hi Oxoman, yes I my son has a Moda Major, just wondered if I could get him anything lighter. Suppose I could get carbon components.
Thanks anyway0 -

Presumably your son rides U10 or U12? Best advice I can offer is to save your money and get him off 650c and onto 700c as soon as is practical. Pretty sure there are zero options for 650c carbon frames - aside from a few ancient TT frames which may crop up on ebay from time to time.0 -
Yes he's first year under 10s0

Bianchi frames go down to 44cm. Still 700c but tiny...Condor Super Acciaio, Record, Deda, Pacentis.
Curtis 853 Handbuilt MTB, XTR, DT Swiss and lots of Hope.
Genesis Datum Gravel Bike, Pacentis (again).
Genesis Equilibrium Disc, 105 & H-Plus-Son.
Mostly Steel.0 -

Save the carbon thoughts for later. Take it from a parent that's already been through the U8/10/12 age group 'arms race' - just work on his fitness. At that age, if they win/lose races, it won't be because they did/didn't have a carbon bike.0 -
