The bearings on my headset are shot, I've never replaced them with like for like and getting a bit confused with all the tyres available.

I went into my LBS and even they can't get matching bearings :?

It's a Orbit helium. I don't have the tools to fit or remove the fork crown part, or the tools to remove the two cups on the frame. Managed to take the bearings out though.

You need to remove the bearings and measure them like this example: http://www.cycleservicenordic.com/en/pr ... -1-18-1-18

To remove the fork crown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnBC5CEdgi8

Just saying but you can pry off the seals on your bearings flush and re-grease. Yours may be beyond help at this point but worth a try and re-greasing every 6-12 months will help them last tens of thousands of miles.
