Hi all, my bottom bracket is bb90 fitted with a power torque Athena crank. And after only six months it's creaking! Is there any adapter on the market I can use to convert it to threaded?
Have looked on line at Works/Rotor etc and if it was bb30 it would be no problem but cannot find anything at all for bb90.
Any help would be welcome.

No, because the spindle on the crank (Shimano HT2, Campagnolo, FSA Megaexo, Sram GXP) would be too short if you tried to fit external bearings cups. BB90 has a shell width of 90.5mm. The widest of any BB's on road frames.

External threaded cups are normally installed on frames with 68mm/72mm wide shells.

You're only option is a pressfit bb for BB90.

have you eliminated other possible sources of creak?

sound from slight movement gets transmitted through a stiff frame and can resonate, making it hard to localise

things like rear quick release, freehub, axle, can all creak under power and feed into the frame
