Has anyone bought or used the above turbo trainer or the cyclops fluid 2 trainers.

    No, but I seriously recommend the Elite Kura over the Turbo Muin as it is a more modern version. Good deals on it could be had from Athlete Shop a while ago.
    I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
  • Had an elite tm and returned it as the resistance was too much for me. If you are a big power rider you will be fine but if you are a 58kg climber like me you may struggle with it!

    Because they're fluid trainers, the resistance is high, but you don't use the same gears that you would use on the road. Most of the time you spend in the small ring using the cassette, unless you've got massive watts per kilo and can ride using the big ring. Power output in the small ring on the fluid trainers is the equivalent of being in your bigger gears on the open road.
