400 quid 2017 what mtb is the best

hi all i have 400 quid and im wondering what mountain bike is the best for that money?i would like a mountain bike that has decent off road capability as well as on the road..thanks.

    Trott MTB1 from Halfords, change the saddle and the grips and stickers if yo don't like purple and it's an amazing bike for the money.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Yep, looks like they've run out, they had some when I checked on Friday.
