I didn't see Richeze do anything wrong. He just held his line as he is entitled.
In the end, Ewan had open ground to his left.

I'd relegate Ewan for being such a PTP let down

This. I picked the useless little flea with his nonsense position. Partly because I thought he might finally do something and partly out of a perverse desire to seethe when he inevitably screws it up again*.

    * I know he has won a stage.

Gaviria looked imperious. Like Cav in his prime. The new one?

Much more like a young Boonen.

Not really like Cav other than the winning sprints bit.

Personally think Gaviria has been *slightly* flattered by the QS's overwhelming quality in the lead out.

Gaviria is also better at getting over hills then sprinting compared to Cav, more like Sagan or GVA than Cav.

Still think Ewan has better straight line speed if they didn't keep screwing up his lead out.

Gaviria is still obviously sensational mind, nothing can take away from that.

Only saw the overhead shot from today, but that acceleration by Gaviria reminded me of the side on shot from the moto of Cav taking off like a rocket to win the TdF Champs Elysees stage in whichever year that was. Anyroads, the boy dun good.

It's 13-6 to Gaviria, in head to head top 10 finishes.
8-2 in head to head wins.
