I just bought 3 bottles of Ringwood Old Thumper for tonight. Will pick up some more Twiglets later.

    No local serves moretti though

Later if I survive man flu is a pop up wine bar by http://ironandrose.com/

Local Iceland has it in big bottles on its shelves.

This is an honest answer - but I don't know where the local Iceland is, but I know where the boss lives

A disco fizz has a very, very different meaning in my part of Carmarthen.......

It's like what booties do in the shower to each other but only with a valleys girl in the disco. Or near the disco. Or in a skip near the disco.

Generally followed by a bag of chips.

Tonight is Hogsback TEA. Roll on tomorrow so I don't have to have a beer.

Just about to have a Ricard and make dinner.

I have something called Motueka Pilsner from Cloudwater brewery. It was ball crushingly expensive from a hipsterish beer shop in Leyton. Now, I might be a philistine, but there's not a huge difference between this and my preferred Polish loony juice Perła. Lager is lager is lager.

Just had a few glasses of rose while the bambini play on hammocks and we wait for the Durrells to start.

Bloody hell - is this what normal families do?

We ain't got hammocks, mini hopkinb is in bed, stepson with his dad, Ms hopkinb is instagramming or doing Tinder, I'm never really sure. I'm watching the Giro and drinking hipster beer. So, anecdotally, nope, you're a weird family. Or we are. Who's to say?

I once had a bloody Mary with jalapeños in it. If I could only remember where it was that served the damn thing, I'd be bankrupt.

Beer wise, I like anything that isn't fruit flavoured or 'mass produced' - Wychwood usually have something I'm interested in. Otherwise unknown local microbreweries always tickle my fancy.

Spirit wise, basically it has to have been born on Islay. If anyone feels similarly, I'd recommend a whisky called 'Smokehead'.

But probably don't combine the above paragraphs into one evening.

Well, TDV is in the back end of nowhere for the past few days and the foreseeable so we Skyped earlier, so back to disjointed phuck'dupness. May get to see each other for a few days before I head out.

Durrells were good though. I'd smash Mrs D.

Sounds shite situation I assume due to work with TDV. Not going to attempt the acronym there.

Not seen the durrells, so will withhold judgement on smashability.

I like a tall pale ginger type. Cate Blanchett. If she did the Nina and the Neurons thing. Phwoah, so help me god.

    Yup - work for her.

It's do- able. Been like it for years. The classic one is about two years ago I was heading out somewhere, she was heading in from some God foresaken place, we passed each other at an airport through opposite sides of a glass partition and the bambini were in a different country altogether at school. She had 35 mins to catch a flight to get home and get to the school to pick up the bambini so we sorta waved briefly at each other and shrugged our shoulders. Oh how we laugh now......

Ooh - pale redheads. Now you're talking. I presume you've missed the whole convo about TDSD?

TDLO was basically the same as TDSD but was brilliant at stopping you getting ebolaids/dead disease.

Too late. Her heart belongs to me. I'll send you piccies of the ceremony. It's going to be like Middleton but with less a Rick Chasey's cutting around pretending they are important, more broken bicycles and more new Mrs C smiling because she is the luckiest lady in the world.

    She is mine.

Just imagine her in a lab coat .....

Nah - sack off that stuff. Discard the chains of the bourgeoisie and wear what you want.

Pants and a cape, that'll do it.
