Hub swap on Reynolds wheels, now knocking
I've have brought a set of Reynolds Assault SLG wheels from a friend, I have swapped the hub from Shimano to Campagnolo, but now every every so often, normally when I'm shifting thought the middle gears, I hear knocking. If I back pedal, the noise goes away for a short while. Changing back to my Campag Eurus wheels, all is fine. I've had the Campag hub checked, and the wheel runs true. The chain isn't stretched, and the cassette is only around 4000 miles old.Any ideas please. Driving me crazy. Many thanks

Are these older Reynolds with DT swiss hubs? If so you can recognise the freehub by the DT Swiss Hugi double ratchet mechanism. DT hubs have different caps for Campagnolo and Shimano, when you replace the freehub, you also need to swap the hub cap.
If they are more recent Reynolds with other hubs, then I don't know... although the problem could be something along the same linesleft the forum March 20230 -
Thanks for the your reply, They're not DT Swiss hubs, but after doing some research based on your reply, it seems like I do need to replace the End caps too, In the service manuals, the end caps have different part number for Campag and Shimano. I was advised to change just the Freehub.
Many thanks for your help on this. Hoepfully swapping them out fixes my issue..0
