I'm a newbie here (hello!), and as it seems to be the way of it, I'm looking for a bit of advice on buying a new bike. I currently ride a Kaffenback with a Sora/105 mix groupset and disc brakes that I built for touring and commuting a few years ago and I'm now looking for something a bit lighter and faster for day rides. I previously rode a Cannondale CAAD 5 r600 for years, but I stripped some of the parts from it to build the Kaffenback and plan on donating the frame and wheels to my local bike charity shop.

I think I've narrowed it down to a choice between a Merlin ROC 105 or a Fuji Roubaix 105, both 2017 models, or Merckx Blockhaus 67 (2016). I'm limited to buying using 0% finance which all of the above bikes are available on (or maybe going through cyclcescheme but not sure about committing to my current job for another year).

I think I'm swaying towards the Merkin ROC as I've only read good things about it, whereas certainly with the Blockhaus, I've been struggling to find any opinions on the other two. Anyway, what I'm really looking for is any reason(s) not to go for any of these bikes, or a great reason to choose a specific one.

Fuji Roubaix https://www.evanscycles.com/fuji-roubai ... e-EV280185
Merckx https://www.merlincycles.com/eddy-merck ... 01779.html

If there any other bikes that fit my price range of <£1,000 with 0% finance then I'm open to suggestions. Size wise, I'm 6'1".

I'll be grateful for any help.

Thanks!
