Evening All,

Just coming back to mountain biking after many years away (15) pushing 38 now! Can those in the know recommend any cross country trails and downhill runs around North Wales Snowdonia/Gwnyedd and Conwy for beginners. Also, some of the toughest tyres you can get for 26 inch wheels.

Thanks

AW

    Hi.

There is Coed Y Brenin, Penmachno and the Marin Trail to name a few, they are proper trail centres so the trails are marked and also graded so you can pick the trail that suits you best

Using the loosest sense of "cross country and downhill", Llandegla has to be in there as an option, not quite Gwnyedd or Conwy but not too far away.

Thanks, I've just had a look at some of those online now. I am slowly building my fitness back up by cycling locally and using a trainer also. Antur stiniog looks fun.
