Hey folks
Looking to upgrade from 26" to a 29er hardtail and wondering what you suggest that's similar to the Trek Superfly 5 @ £1000?
Looking for light & fast. 29". Hardtail/rigid only. I'm on the fence weather to stump for an all-out MTB or a Hybrid. It's just for general riding as I've a Mason Bokeh on the way which will take care of all other duties.

A Recon Silver is pretty poor at that price point and Deore shifting (headline XT rear mech for effect but shift quality will be set by the Deore levers) is nothing special.
The Boardman Team is better specced for £850 and the Pro much better at a matching £1K

Or the Bizango matches it on Spec and gives it a really good (£350 cheaper) hiding at the till

Also less XC biased and more useable as a trail bike.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
