Anybody have this bike. Not keen on new defy advanced 2. Im a beginner in the road bike world as i have a boardman hybrid comp for my 100 mile charity bike ride. Will this be a good enough bike to keep up with my other defy friends. Anybody with personal experiemce of this bike be much appreciated

If you are a beginner it will be more than enough. I have the same bike and it's great, very comfortable and you can fit 28c tyres. The disc brake pads need to be adjusted very close to the rotor (without rubbing) to get the best performance out of them (as I find them a bit spongy) but you can also improve the braking performance by getting compressionless cables as they are recommended by TRP as well. The Tiagra 4700 groupset it has is great as well as it's the newer updated version.
I don't know about the wheels as I upgraded them for lighter ones, the stock ones weigh 2kg's.0
