That's a polite way of putting it...0 -
Looks like Ewan beat Greipel in the sprint from the bunch0

That was great, as Fleche has just called it a masterpiece. Gaveria, not Ewan is the next Cav.0

A pity Rai didn't get the finale right.
A pity too that Geraint couldn't quite bridge as given all the positioning, it was a small opportunity missed.
Jungels huge, but that's a load of work for someone contesting the GC."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

He is also much lighter than I would have thought watching him ride. 70kg at 1,89m according to Google.PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230

Open goal really, he didn't have to outsprint much, did he?0

Similarly, Greipel missed an open goal. All he had to do was spot what was going on, put out 850w for 2 mins and not have a mechanical...0 -

Credit to Gaveria, but this win was nearly all about the excellently executed team plan (as you noted). Cav has had lots of those too, but Gaveria needs to win some head-to-heads against the top flight before claiming the crown (as would Ewan).0 -

he already has beaten the best sprinter of this generation (Cav) a few times in one on ones and like Ewan doesn't put out as much power as the likes of Greipel and Kittel, but can get over hills and ramps better. he'll win many a giro and vuelta stage, and quite a few tour stages too... the lads only 22....0 -

Especially when his teammate ran interference on Nizzolo.0 -
Yeah I thought Nizzolo could have made the argument he was impeded there. Still think Gaviria would have taken it.0

Thought Thomas did well, although a shame he missed the split when it came. One of those stages where it would have been nice to have Luke Rowe around I'm sure.0 -

Do Ewan and Greipel use the same cleats?0
