Suntour UNAir rear shock

Just bought one and fitted it to the bike. Have set he sag but when I try and use the small red dial - which I believe is rebound damping - it just spins around! Is this right? I have got in touch with Suntour and they just referred me to the updated manual (which doesn't help as it doesn't have the particular rebound damping dial shown). Can anyone help? Am I just being dim? I don't feel it should just spin round, should it?
