Hi All

Just thought I'd ask the forums advise! If both of these bikes cost the same which would be the one to go for:

http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/calibre-bos ... ke-p347143
or
https://www.evanscycles.com/norco-fluid ... e-EV284028

I can get both for roughly the same money just through different schemes - cycle scheme v credit card!

Thanks
A

What are you wanting to use the bike for, and how 'fit' are you? Are you using it for commuting, bridlepaths, trail centres? If £1k is your budget I would throw the Boardman Team FS in there too. If you can stretch to another few hundred, the Pro FS is about as good as you can get new for the money.

I'll be using it mainly for trail centres like Chicksands and bike parks in Wales. I'm pretty fit and commute on a roady but there are a couple of off road options which I would take a couple of days a week. I would say my budget is around £900 which these both fit into nicely. I can get £100 off the Norco with Evans and then also through the cycle to work scheme. It just seems that everyone rates the Bossnut very highly so don't want to discount it.

Then I'd throw this into the mix.

I'd personally go Norco or Boardman. Have read quite a few people with Bossnut frame issues. Although there is a new one due out pretty soon I think.

Between the Norco and Boardman, all depends if you have a strong preference over a 1x or 2x drivetrain or Shimano over Sram. Having just switched from Shimano to Sram, you'll get used to the other very quickly. I would say the Boardman has marginally better parts, but only just.

Excellent, I'll have a look at the Boardman at the weekend. Thanks all for the input
