Does changing of crankset also mean changing of derailleur?

Hi guys I have a triple but want to change to a compact . Does that mean I will also have to change my front and back derailleur?

No, not in all circumstances.

Same as above. I did the same on a Triban 3 a while back. No cange to the rear was needed (I was keeping the same cassette). I kelpt the same derailleur but it did need some tweaking because the shifter still has three gear selections whereas the derailleur only needed 2. Once set up it was grand though.
