Chad Young of Axeon Hagens Berman crashed on a descent during Tour of the Gila yesterday. Severe head injury, and not expected to recover, according to statement put out by the team

Such a shame.
Its weird at the moment - Chap from our club recently hit a dog on a descent (ran out from behind a parked van), and is still in hospital. He is expected to recover, but it's pretty scary stuff.0 -

It has been a bad week. A 52 year old woman competitor died after being hit by a car during the Ettix Classic event in Belgium.Also a 40 year old man also in Belgium was training for the Hawaii Ironman event and was killed at a crossing. Police believe he did not hear the oncoming car because he had earphones in and was listening to music. ademort
