bike postage

After some advice , how much does it cost to post a road bike?
Also any recommended couriers?

    I haven't any experience in posting but have received a few. Postage tends to be around £15. I've had good and bad experiences with all couriers so can't recommend any per se.

    On another note.. Does anyone know the best place to source a bike sized cardboard box?

    Local bike shop or halfords, they normally give them away as it saves them having to pay for disposal.
    Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

    Gosh, where do you get postage for £15?!! I couldn't get under £21 for a small child's bike, & an adult bike would be at least £35 I reckon (esp. with insurance)

    Have used UK Mail for shipping a turbo trainer & accessories & they were good, & very reasonably priced.

    Paisley Freight charge £23.50 plus about the same again for insurance depending on the value.
