Mountain bike tyres

Hi everyone, can anyone help with regards to which tyres I should use on my mtb, I cycle on and off road woodland trails/ dirt tracks , I currently use continental race kings 26 x 2.0 but the area I live has a lot of flint and so far I have ripped out the side wall on 2 tyres, does anyone have any ideas which would be better??
