For future reference if the need arises. If a plug and flexible glue fails to seal a puncture in a tubeless tyre, can it be patched internally? If so is a conventional patch from a regular repair kit suitable or are there better options?

There is some discussion in this thread about repairing tubeless tyres, start at the last page and work backwards.

velox do a repair kit for mtb tyres which has big thick patches and glue. i find though sticking patches to mtb tyres does depend on the tyre sometimes the glue takes better on some tyres than others. superglue will stick them though.

For road tyres which are smaller a inner tube patch is better and if there is a rubber lining then vulcanisng glue is fine otherwise superglue maybe needed. Fill the hole with glue. Done this a couple of times and it works a treat.
