It goes nowhere near my house. But the TT goes past my brother-in-law's sister's beach hut.

I've got a new complaint. I'll be working in Cheltenham by then but they put the stage finish there on a weekend!

The route of the final stage will be interesting, it looks like it will avoid major climbs.

Stage 7 sounds like a long one!

It looks like 10 of the last 12km is my commute from work, which I used to cycle. They'll do it in half the time sadly.

    Er no London?

    For shame.

Do they not know the entire universe revolves around that place?

The final stage of the Women's Tour, on June 11th, finishes in London. Presumably TfL spunked their budget on that rather than the men's race.

They really should spend more time in the Cotswolds.

Looks like they might be going up the less hard side of Cleeve Hill on stage 7. Still good watching the pros go up climbs you know though.

Is that the coast road? It's on my commute when I can be arsed too. The Strava segments have probably been smashed already by the Velothon race but if not there'll be some disappointed weekend warriors. I wonder if they'll have to dodge the stones and airgun pellets passing the camp!

I doubt that its budgetary in that Im sure TfL could have funded it if theyd really wanted it, but it certainly seems to be that Sweetspot try and share stages out between the Womens Tour and ToB equitably, so there isnt much if any crossover in a particular calendar year, even if they do look to share some of the routes they take from different years.

Is the final stage the same one Robert Millar won the 1989 Kellog's Tour on?

    Edit: no
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

I'd say they have covered both your doorsteps.

Looks like a totally naf route.

I'm thinking it's more likely the A48 (I rode either route depending on the wind). They'll want to avoid the roaming goats and ponies.

Where do you get the detailed maps from? Trying to find out if my KOM (#1 of 44) is in danger :)

Looks like the coast road on Blazing's map.

Not great is it? The Skenfrith road can be a grind for an average cyclist but won't bother the pros. It goes within a mile of my house, hopefully it will go up Belmont Hill or that climb in the Celtic Manor they used on the Nationals.

A shame they replaced the pokey little bridge over the railway just by Duffryn then. That would have caused carnage.

Did Alex Dowsett design this route?

He seems pretty chuffed about it on twitter.
