Hi
I need to replace my SRAM 22 Rim brake pads
Finding it hard to source replacement, can I use another make say Campagnolo, Shimano or swisstop?
I have alloy rims
Thanks for any help

That's because Sram dont sell their own Red 22 branded brake pads. They source them from Swisstop. Sram Red 22 calipers come with Swisstop pads pre-installed. They are labelled 'Sram by Swisstop'. These are them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SRAM-Swisssto ... Sw3YNXY6nq
This store is UK based

Any pads that are Shimano/Sram type will fit. Campagnolo type pads wont fit (i dont think).
Koolstop are another brand that makes great pads. They have a softer compound then Swisstop and are nicer to your rims but they wear out faster. But they a slightly cheaper.

Get the SwissStop Flash Pro BXP, most people prefer them to the black ones. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/swissstop-flash-pro-bxp-alloy-rim-brake-pads/ ...I found braking noticeably better with them.0

They are twice the price of stock Shimano R55C3/4 pads and are almost identical in performance IMO......FFS! Harden up and grow a pair0 -
I don't know about the Shimano ones but you do realise that the Swissstop BXP come in 2 pairs i.e. 4 pads?
Also, they perform superbly, last for ages and don't wear your rims. I have 16'000km on my rear set and they are only half way worn.
What's not to like?0
