Is there any interest in old bike mags?

I have a great collection of old (mainly) Procycling magazines from 1998 until about 10 years ago, probably about 120 of them. Worth selling?

Comments

  • I have loads of Cycle Sport magazines & tried to sell them on eBay a few years ago, no interest, also tried recently on Facebook, again no interest. Wasn't wanting much money either, just say 50p per copy. Going to try again on a Cycling specific Facebook site shortly, but don't hold much hope. Sorry.

I had 15 years of motorbike magazines going for nothing.

Ended up getting dumped as there was absolutely no interest.

i had 15 years of cycle mags etc, took them to the local cycle jumble with a "free to a good home" notice.
    no one even looked.
every body there probably had 15 years of mags in the loft or shed.

I've got every copy of Performance Bikes since 1989 in the garage at the moment.

Only my heart is saying "don't dump them"

Worthless, taking up loads of space, huge fire risk.

One day I'll ge someone to dump them for me.

Cobble together a trebuche and just feck the whole lot over the fence in a oner.

To the OP; Take them all to the local recycling joint, It's cathartic.

Good call but I was thinking of getting me and all my mates to wander over there Great Escape style and drop them on the floor through holes in our pockets before chucking a couple of Molotovs over and torching the lot.

What a pity. I still enjoy reading them from time to time and thought that fans of my age may be interested. I'd certainly buy them at a flea market.

I had a load of German Tour mags but the LBS (in Germany) didn't even want to offer them for free on the counter.

I had virtually all of the first 41 issues of Cyclist magazine. Tried selling them to magazine dealers who flog them to people wanting back issues, tried giving them to a nearby CC, took them to a car boot and flogged a few at 10p each to a woman who had holidayed at places where the main ride write-ups were. Ended up in the recycle skip at the tip. No value, no mileage in re-reading them again.
