Hi Folks,
Anyone ever run a 12-30t on the rear of the below 10 speed from 2008 approx.
I called Campognolo Italy and then UK, both unsure and didnt recognise the RACE Triple Black edition branding.
Someone kindly noted on here that I can use: 12-30t but is this tried and tested on a 89mm Long Cage deraileur?
Crankset: Campagnolo Race Triple 10speed 30-42-52t
Sprocket/Cassette: Campagnolo Mirage 10speed 12-25t
Flatbar Shifter: Campagnolo Veloce light 10 Speed

Here on page 60 and 61 you will find the breakdown of the details from Campagnolo. THANKS
I found old chatter online from 7 to 8 speed users but no new ones. THANK YOU!!!0 -
If you want an easy and cheap way to get lower bottom gears on a Campag triple chaInset you can replace your 30-tooth little ring for any standard 74 BCD ring such as Stronglight or TA, readily available from Spa Cycles etc. You can fit anything down to a 24-tooth little ring, which is what I use. The long cage rear mech will cope fine.0

I got a brilliant answer from Compagnolo service in the U.K.:-
"Please see attached images.
The total capacity of your long cage mech is 40. This calculation is achieved by adding the difference between the largest and smallest sprocket to the difference between the small and largest chainring size.
So, in your case as you want to run a 12-30 cassette with your current chainrings you would use the following calculation:
Cassette: Difference between 12 and 30 = 18
Chainrings: Difference between 30 and 52 = 22
----
Total = 40
This means that, yes, you can use a 12 to 30 cassette with your current long cage mech and 30-42-52 chain rings."
This makes me super happy. Buying my 12-30t yay0
