Thoughts on Orca v SuperSix EVO

So I've narrowed the choice for my next bike - upgrading from an old aluminium bike - to these two:

http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Orbea-Orca-M20- ... _95660.htm

Planning to go out and try them both this week hopefully but just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on what they'd go for, all thing being equal?

Giving the similar prices, is it pretty safe to assume the SuperSix EVO has the better frame as it's not as well spec'd, or is it not quite that simple?

The Supersix is the better frame by far, the model selected is Orbea's base model Orca.
I currently have a 2015 Supersix Evo which I love but at the moment I have a big urge for an Orca so will be watching this thread eagerly.
Epic have a very good Orca line-up, have a look there too.
What size are you after as I've seen the odd bargain about.

Thanks. Epic have been really helpful since i first spoke with them about the Orca. I somehow missed that they stock Cannondale but will get back in touch with them tomorrow when they are open.

I'll either be a 56 or 58 in the Cannondale and Epic suggested 57 in the Orca - I'm 188cm with 85cm inside leg. Just need to go on sit on some and see.

UBYK have an Orca in a 55 in the sale section and Ciclos Uno have quite a few Orcas, new shape and old, at good prices.
Carefully check the effective top tube lengths against what you ride already providing it fits right.

Thank you I'll take a look. I thought I was dead set on the Orca but have a feeling I'm probably going to end up going to for the SuperSix now to be honest...

Take a look at Paul's Cycles for the Cannondale.

  • The Orca would have to be an exceptional bike to be better than the Evo
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

I have a supersix but really like the look of the Orca. It would be nice to have a bike with internal cables lol

Yeah if I'm being picky that's the one thing I don't like about it. Sure it'll be fine though!

Have you thought about a Canyon Ultimate? Link below is same price, ultegra, internal cables, great frame, looks quality.
