    Seychelles fish.

Shot to frikkin bits me. I decided to go on this less travelled hilly route. That was fine except that the head wind got stronger and it started to drizzle and then it rained and it turned epic.
I hate holidays. Girls have been a total PITA at bedtime... despite lots of exercise. Think i'm off to bed early and set the alarm for silly o'clock and get them up.

Might give wrynose and hardknott a shot on saturday. Already changed to a 28 at the back.

Maybe Stevo has a point after all...

Nah, fun but not well hard.

Have you got a 34 on the front?

Rode the struggle in a 39 25 combo. So thought i'd need a 28 for wrynose and hardknott.

I thought you had done those climbs before?

Watch the road coming off Kirkstone pass (heading West), it's really chopped up; gravel and potholes.

Pretty sure you meant to write of Vermilion not 'or'.

    Must be that German beer.

You can pip him the morra morning Gazza and then you had better get packing the car. Where's the cat going? To wind all the other Tom's at the local cattery with conducive whiffs and no access?

    Is neighbour guarding the cat?

You'll notice that Sungod writes very short initial posts, Later on, he gives a bit more detail. I think he's rushing out that first daily musings thread 'cos he's looking over his shoulder at the Gaztron pipping him. He probably saves a draft the night before and then sends it 'live' in an instant as soon as he gets up.
I think you've got him spooked.

So you reckon I need a compact for hardknott? You got me worried now. I've never tried a child's chainset before.Might order one, I'm not getting any younger.

No. I don't know anything about 'the struggle' other than what people have said about it. If you go up to Kirkstone pass the other way from Windermere (A592), it's a series of stages and not too bad, just quite a long grind.

Near Kendall. I cycle from there.

I don't know what a loop would be. The A591 is quite a busy road and there's no way you'll cycle on the A66.

But i'm not cycling up kirkstone, I want to go to wrynose, then hardknott.

Got it. I know how to get to ambleside, then A593 t'little langdale (that's how they talk over there) then do a right to wrynose. Sixty Miler, give or take

And its the long slog North this weekend along with 10 million others...

    Leave at 5am.
Left at 8pm after getting a call from the hospital. Only took 4hrs 30mins. Not looking good but stable for now.

I'm having that drink I was due to have yesterday evening...

    yes, should've been 'of'

it was the beer, the wine and the severe lack of sleep

think i was still slightly squiffy at breakfast, but all three gmcs were happy with the day, so that was an excuse for more beer before the flight back

which, being on ba, was delayed, grrrr
