Triple front derailleur on double chainset

Hi,

I know this has been asked before but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

I've just bought a used road bike and need to replace the FD. It has a double biopace chainset (42/52) and I'm having trouble finding a low clamp replacement double FD. They are plenty of triple ones about or high clamp doubles.

Can a triple FD be adjusted using the limit screws to work on a double chainset?

It will work fine. I have a few mountain bikes with the big ring removed and the mech adjusted.
