Dogma F8 vs F10

I just recently I got my lawsuit money from a previous cycling vs car accident, and as a reward to myself I have decided to buy a super bike. My riding will be about 50% climbing vs normal road riding as I live in Denver. That should give you a rough idea upon what I'm looking for between the 2 bikes.
Now it's easier part to list off what I know I want and go from there.
It's gonna be a Pinarello Dogma, nothing else.
It's going to be Shimano Dura Ace Di2.
Nice wheels (think around zipp 202 or 303, but doesn't have to be zipp )
And that's basically it. At this point money isn't much of an option, but extra money saved will be usd to get a better gravel road/cyclocross bike down the road for the winter months
The 2 F8's I'm looking at are both 9070 Di2, 2015 models. One is BoB rim brake going for around 8,000 grand. The other F8 is a yellow and black disk model for about 8,800. Both come with Zipp 202. I have rode both of these as of 2 weeks ago, and I'm leaning more towards the none disk model mostly because of the savings in money, but I could be convinced otherwise. I'm fairly confident that the disk brake would take quiet a bit to get use to stopping at higher speeds and I don't need to be able to stop on a dime. I also really don't like the color scheme on the disk model. The stripe down the seat post really bothers me for some reason.
I also know about the K8-S with disk, which they would sell with custom wheels. BOB, for around 10,000 not my cup of tea, but again can be talked into it. I would just like something a bit more racy.
The F10 would be asteroid red and 9150 Di2. This bike would be 12,500 wheels would also be zipp 202. I like this color scheme the most by far.
I have not had a chance to ride the F10 as no one really has them, and it would have to be custom ordered for me. The F8 on their own would be a massive jump from what I previously had (FP3, and Cervelo P3) so really anything will make me happy. There is just that little voice that I saying I will never have an opportunity to be the most current bike in the world ever again. I'm also reverse worried that I won't see any deference from the F10 because frankly, the F8 is a FUCKING fantastic bike.
I just don't know if the 4,000$ is worth the F10, and the bike shop/fiancé are about to kill me if I discuss this any further with them.
Thanks

Sounds like you really want the F10, so if money isn't a worry then get it. Plus red is the best colour and you won't look like too much of a Sky fanboy.0

If the F8s are 2015 then they are techinically 2014 bikes ... Not sure I'd want to spend that amount of $$$ on 3 year old tech ...
If money is really no object (you do mention an $800 saving between rim/disc so it must have some bearing) then buy the F10 now and enjoy, but if you can wait a few months for it to be discounted once the 2018 bikes are announced and use the change to buy that gravel bike you mentioned (gotta be a Slate, surely) …Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0 -
The answer is "Buy the red one", now what was the question?0

If It was my money I would go F8 and use the rest to get n+1 ... but I am not spending my money I am spending yours ..... so going on that Get the f10 .... it could be a once in a life time purchase and how many f10s do you see around ... its proper bike porn, as opposed to the f8 which is kind of dated now0

FWIW, I had a Dogma F8 disc with Dura-Ace Di2 for a while, great bike and liked the disc brakes, but there is a big weight penalty vs other 'super-bikes'- the regular Dogma isn't super light and the discs add quite a lot. I now ride a Cervelo R5 and don't miss the disc brakes at all and appreciate the much lighter ride (nearly 2kg). It's interesting there isn't a disc version of the F10 - and I would go for the F10 if I were you.0

Its not an object, but I don't wanna be stupid at the same time. So its all about walking that fine line, but I see the point with the F8 really being 3 years old now0 -

Yea I did feel the weight testing out the F8 disc, thats why it's a distant 3 in my mind.
How do you like your R5? I loved my P3, but their road bikes I haven't loved nearly as much.0 -

Ive seen 0 F10 outside of 2 bike shops. Then again, Ive only seen like 3 Dogma of any type of the road outside of a race. I've seen waaaayyy more high end tri-bikes (p5, shiv etc..)0 -
Very happy with the R5 (2016 model)- have had an R3 SL for many years which I still really enjoy; R5 is that bit better, lighter, stiffer but still comfortable, great handling. Ride it with Hunt 38mm carbon rims most of the time and don't feel any speed penalty vs F8 with Zipp 303s, and switch to Mavic R-Sys for the mountains, brings the weight down under 6.5kg (with Dure-Ace Di2, Enve bar and stem).0

Cervelo R5 for me all the way - Or if money was no Object Cervelo RCa, Di2 PRO finishing kit & Cosmic carbones.
But the Dogma F8 would be my choice and then spend the other 4k on hookers and blow for your impending stag do."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

P3 is better than all those bikes.
That said I can't see there being much difference between the F8 and F10 (and knowing Pinarello they'll probably just bring out an F12 next year). I'd go rim brake F8 and spend the extra money on a 9150 rear mech and another P3.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0 -

This has been a thought in my mind also, I did really love my P3.0 -

Very nice. I just love the P series in general.
If my would play nicely (said accident for lawsuit) I would get more heavily into triathlon. Right now, anything above Olympic and once and a while half is to much swimming. Maybe one more year will make difference.0
