Womens Bike Buying Advice

My girlfriend wants to upgrade her bike and has asked me to do some research for her. I am having a bit of trouble though because I know zip about women’s bikes and any of the ‘top 5/top 10’ lists I have read suggest many different bikes with little consistency, so I haven't been able to hone in on one or two.

She will not use the bike for racing, but recently has been clocking up 100-200km/week so I guess something comfortable would suit her.

Budget is probably around the £1000 mark, but she could probably stretch to £1500.

Anyone got any recommendations as a starting point?

Cheers for any help

My wife got a Pinnacle Arkose from Evans which I must say is a very tidy bike. Aluminium frame, 105 gears and hydro discs. Good for use both on the road and also for some light off roading.

Depends really if she's after something like that or a pure road machine.

I think Giant/Liv have a pretty extensive range you could check out too.
