As per thread title, what do people think of these tyres?

Thinking of running these on my Arkose single speed for muddier offroad routes, as that bike rarely does any real "road work". PX currently doing them for £20 a pop which seems a decent price IMO, so was interested to see if anyone had experience of them.

Cheers

Try these. Good all rounders and cheap in performance line at the moment.

While clearly does depend on use, I have evo and performance Schwalbe MTB tyres, The performance tyres are good, but they don't have the glued to the tarmac/hard pack of the EVO's. they are broadly similar tyres at least for that sort of use.

The EVO X-ones are remarkably good, But I guess really it depend how close in compound the X-one evo/performace are since for the MTB there is a noticeable difference.

I've got the Performance One bites as well as the Evo normal X One. No difference really off road, impossible to tell on road of course as they're not for that sort of thing!

I'm assuming you used the x-ones bites in mud mostly? for that sort of use compound is fairly irrelevant as tyre shape and tread, the caveat is if you also encounter roots/slabs and so on. it's why MTB mud tyres are now soft compound as well so the tyre is at least acceptable off pure mud, which older tyres where not.

The Performance versions (MTB) feel harder/less grip than the EVO MTB/CX tyres. So i'd be cynical that the CX would feel as soft to honest, I can see for some uses, and for some people they wouldn't notice/care.

A fair point. I also have the G-One in Performance in addition to Evo and S-One Evo and they're also pretty good by comparison. Any difference in feel, and there's little in it, can be attributed to the setup.
