Scott Solace

Hi, I'm off to France next week and I'm hoping to hire a road bike for a couple of days. Most of the shops do not have their road bikes available until May. However, I have found one who have a Scott Solace (56 Large) available. I'm just short of 6ft 3in with a 33 inside leg. I've checked the Scott sizing and I am at the upper end of the sizing bracket. Under normal circumstances I would go for the 58 XL but with none of that size available I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience of the Solace sizing and whether I will be OK with the 56? Cheers

Speak with the shop, they'll be able to advise.
I was in Mallorca last year, and went off Trek sizing guides and t'interweb as to what size I needed. Because of the (stupid) seat posts they used I ended up on a bike just too small and didn't realise until back in the hotel and the shop had closed.
Call them, they'll be able to tell you in mere seconds.0 -
I reckon you'll be fine but as said, the shop will have an idea. I have a medium Solace and they do come up on the large side, mainly due to the high head tube. I'm 5.10" with a 31 inseam and although my medium fits me (with a 90mm stem instead of the fitted 110) I would buy a small if getting another one. Hope this helps.Scott Foil RC

Is this Morzine per chance? If it is then it's a friendly shop.0

I had a Scott Solace 20 I'm 6'2 and had a 58 xl. I'll be amazed if the 56 isn't too small for you. Don't agree that they come up big, although do agree they have a big headtube0

Hi
I'm really close to your size.About 6 ft 2 1/2 inches and about 32.5 inseam.
And I own A 2015 Scott Sollace 58/XL endurance bike.I feel the reach comes up just A little short for me and I also have long torso for my height.
Like the geometry and sizing chart from Raleigh Merit(60cm) much better for my bike fit.Has A longer WB,reach(TT) and longer HT..etc.
I also feel Scott sizing is A little on the small size.Would try 61 before A 56.0
