I've been riding this completely stock 2015 Domane 4.3 for the last 2 years now and I've been wondering what would constitute a good wheel upgrade?
I've been looking at e.g. DT Swiss R20 or RR21 or the Mavic Ksyrium Pro or Elite. Looking to stay between 500 - 1000€. I mostly ride on 28mm tyres (lots of cobbles here in my region).
Any recommendations from the forum?
Thanks in advance.

  • HED Ardennes Plus work well with 28mm tyres and cobbles. You could get the lightest SL model for your budget.

If you want to keep everything matching the Bontrager Racelite TLR wheelset that came on newer high end Domanes are really good, light and a 23mm wide rim so ideal for big tyres. Despite being tubeless compatible they aren't hideous to fit clincher tyres to.
