Hi all,

I am currently in the market for a new road bike after taking a few years out of cycling and I have sort of narrowed my choices down to the Boardman Road Pro Carbon SLR and the Trek Emonda ALR 6 (both 2017 models).

I do realise there will be a few compromises on a bike at this price range and would most likely be looking to make a couple of upgrades especially to lightweight carbon wheels within a few months, although one frame is carbon and the other is aluminium their specs look reasonably similar and there doesn't seem to be much difference between the groupsets (SRAM Force 22 vs Shimano Ultegra), I am really interested in and would be very appreciative to hear the thoughts of anyone who has ridden either or both of these bikes, thanks in advance.
