I bought a 6800 chainset and only needed the non-drive side crank. Looking to shift the drive side crank/chainrings. What would be a fair % of the drive side in cost be? 80%?
TIA

I'd keep hold of it. Theres a chance your current RH side could fail spectacularly. Then you'll need it. The chainrings will be needed too eventually when your current set wear out.

That's why I bought the chainset when I needed to only replace my non drive-side but now I want to move to DA...0 -
Er, no, not at all fair. Good luck with that.
80% of what anyway?
List price?
Personally I would rather pay 100% for the whole brand new chainset from a shop and try to sell the LHS crank arm, or use it as a paperweight.0 -

Just asking around, 80% is purely a random number I picked. I've been told around £60-£70. What do you think?0 -
I think you should stick it on ebay and see what happens0

Yeah think I'll put it on auction so I don't have to faff around with price.0 -

About the same as the price of replacement chainrings.
Keep them. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Arses. I bought a new 6800 chainset last week because my drive side one started to split and creak.0

Yup - they had two in the clearance ex-display area: my was advertised as "minor scratches" but I have still to find any.
Quite a happy Matt really.
Now watch it shatter into a million pieces like the others on here and give me ebolaids, therefore killing me softly ......Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

So you haven't used them? Saw some Disc rotors (RT99) on clearance and wanted to pick them up.0 -

Consider Yourself lucky then as Evans are banging them out at £150, your £66 is not the regular price https://www.evanscycles.com/shimano-ult ... AkDZ8P8HAQGiant TCR Composite 1, Giant Defy Advanced 2, Boardman Comp, Santa Cruz Heckler, Raleigh M-Trax Ti, Strida LT, Giant Halfway0 -

Not yet - they are fitted to the frame and forks just to keep them from getting lost and match the matt grey of the Madone really nicely.
Going to pop on Ultegra 11 speed and leave it at the holiday house in the mountains for using over there. Going for 7kg build (or as close as possible), so EC90 seat post, full carbon seat, currently Deda Newton bars until something lighter that won't kill me at 70mph plus descents...
All on as much of a budget as poss, otherwise it would be Red all the way.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am
