and one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brooks-England ... b17+saddle
Please my perineum is in tatters, I can't make the saddle level. Should I get a new seat post or saddle?
Also I've got a degree in computer science and about 20 years experience and cant work out how to put a url in.

As Oxoman says the Brookes needs to be "ridden-in" much more than other saddles but if it is the right one for you it will be very comfortable.
Padded bib shorts and chamois cream will help. The other things you can do to help are: keep the area very clean, don't keep your bibs on after you have finished a ride - get them off and let the air circulate or immediately have a shower, keep the area dry and sweat free.
Plus, Team GB banned their riders from shaving that area as they found the process of shaving and re-growth was causing sores.

I have it set up completely level. If you can't get it level I think it will have more to do with the saddle rail clamp of your seat post than the saddle itself. Some of them just seem to have detents which mean it's either pointing slightly up or down...
