Shawn: I am also in CT. It would be rare for anyone to post activities in CT, or NE for that matter, but the overall content on this forum is very good.
Look for local groups on STRAVA. Many of them post and/or discuss rides. There is a ride group that heads out of the "Joann Fabrics" parking lot in Manchester. Look on Meetup for "Connecticut Cyclists East" They have weekly rides at all levels, its a good group. Pedal Power also has weekly rides
