Getting a bit bored of the Nukeproof mega Tr. Although good bike and love it I just feel like a change.

I was seriously considering the

Whyte t160 s but for £2599 it's a whole lot more than than the capra

The nukeproof mega was on as well but the spec for £2399 makes it too hard to swallow.

Or just mod the hell out of the mega tr and stick with it?

    don't buy a bike just because of the spec, I'd not buy a capra no matter the spec.

    if you really must have top spec, check out the top end bird 145. For 2.5k you get an eagle drive train.
  • You have chosen the good one which is Whyte t160. You can also chose T-130C T-129. I think it suits you perfectly.

    @COOLDAD, I'm not sure either as I'm too short for a 29er!

    Why has everyone got something against Capras? Two lads I ride with love them (carbon versions though) to death and wouldn't consider anything else but I would like to hear everyone's opinions.

    The capra Al in this months MBUK bike of the year came out well too

    Yeah, but she has skill, talent, balls and good looks. Everything kirby700 is lacking.

    (and myself if I have to be honest)

    Yeah she looks good on a 29er. Still don't want one.

    What's wrong with the capra?

    A lot of people on here say the YT is a tank. A wouldnt listen, i know a few people that have them and climb superbly for the amount of travel.

    Well had a go on one today albeit the carbon version and very surprised. Climbed very good and felt brilliant on the trails.

    Two friends have them, neither think they climb very well. One of them who is faster than me on his 160mm BMC is significantly slower on the Capra, the other who is much faster than me on just about anythingI can just about hang on to, it's not the weight but that they just seem to like climbing, they are quite mushy sprinting as well.
