Looking for some guidance,
I have been scouring the net for information on a tacx turbo trainer that I can connect to swift and also to Strava. Im looking to buy all the bits and bobs in a kit form i.e. Mat, front wheel holder. I'm also on a budget so I don't want to be spending big bucks. Cheers for any help

I have this and with 10% off(Britain Cycling member) it was the cheapest option. You'll need to buy an Ant+ dongle if you don't already have one.

Or you can connect via Bluetooth on some iPads then no Ant+ required.

Does anyone know if this trainer works with thru axles? Trying to decide between getting a smart trainer or a power meter - the fact that my bike has thru axles not quick releases might make my mind up for me

My iPad has Bluetooth so this should connect to swift and strava? Sorry about the questions as I'm a complete newbie to turbo trainers.

You can connect with any turbo trainer so long as you have a speed sensor and ANT+ dongle. You would just need to make the difficulty what you want with the gearing.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Both these responses are off the top of my head so could well be fake news.

As long as your ipad has bluetooth 4 you should be ok http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/973945

thru axles - I think you'll struggle as the clamping mechanism is a Tacx specific QR (it is on my Bushido)

You don't need to go to great expense to get going on Zwift.
