Like the extended range (I'm in the Chilterns so some fairly steep bits)

FYI ..
I ride XC (intermediate perhaps) ...
Currently have Stumpjumper 29er Comp Carbon with hope braided brakes, converted to 1x10 with sunrace 11-42

    To be honest, I'd rather have your Stumpjumper. The Stumpy is by far the best 29er trail bike I've tried, I've seen a mate do ridiculous things on his 29er Stumpy.

    Thanks for the reply ... I love the Stumpjumper - coming from a alloy hardtail it was a revelation.

    I need more range though ... and converting the Stumpy to 1x12 doesn't seem economical.
