Ok so I am 95-100kg right now riding a Tarmac SL4 with stock Fulcrum Racing 4s 20/24 spoke count. Apparently these are a mix of Fulcrum Racing 3 and 5 though I cant see it myself.
I want to run tubeless tyres and want a higher spoke count wheelset built to 24/28 configuration. What I am hoping is that the wheels and tyres will give a more supple ride. Current 4 seasons come up 26.5mm on the F4 rims and cant go much bigger than this as I will get tyre rub on the back of the seat tube.

Options are;
Hunt 4 Season Aero V2 1600g @ £350 https://www.huntbikewheels.com/collecti ... eep-22wide

DT Swiss R460 on Miche Primato hubs on Sapim Laser/Race spokes 1700g @ £280

Pacenti Forza on Miche Primato hubs not sure which spokes 1800g @ £400

Not sure which to go for. Don't want to spend too much as I still need to get tyres and will probably go for 25mm Schwalbes. Worth it?

    You should go for a 32 rear, rather than a 28. Front can even be 24 if you wish... I'de be tempted to wait for the new Open PRO, which will be UST, so ideal for tubeless, rather than tubeless capable. It's a matter of size tolerance... you should get better tyre fit, less air loss etc... I have a pair of Mavic UST rims (they are for 29er) which I use with road tyres and I inflate them every two weeks, using them every day.

    I saw the thread about the new OP Rim and like the look of it. When will it be available?

    Trouble is I could wait for the OP Rim but then there is only one or two guys out there who I would want to build them up. Chances are they wont be using the rim with it being so new etc. Also don't these things always get delayed?
    Any views on the three I listed?

    They are all very good options...

    I once rebuilt a F-quattro wheel... there is nothing particularly wrong with them and I don't see why they would be harsh wheels...
    Have you tried a high TPI clincher? Something like a Vittoria or a Challenge? Continental tyres always feel a bit agricultural, especially the more robust winter ones like 4 Seasons and Gatorskin

    The only downside of the supple Vittoria is that you will spend a fair amount of time at the side of the road.. :-)

    The forza rim has a assymmetric rear and is therefore going to be a nicer wheel. The R460 is cheaper but symmetric. Kinlin do a rim that is asymmetric and cost the same as the R460 best of all world.

    28 spoke rear will be fine but if nipples washers are used and triple butted spokes. Otherwise ugo suggestion of a 32 spoke rear is quite valid.

    Are you suggesting I try something like the Veloflex Master 25 instead of going to the expense of swapping out the wheels and tyres? I am open to suggestions as I am kind of done with forking out loads of cash for marginal gains. I hear the Masters are not that bad in terms of puncture protection?

    Pressire loss with tubeless compatible rims is not a big issue. My commutor looses 20 psi a week but the tyres have a latex linkng. The one with a butyl lining loose 20 psi over a couple of weeks.

    I dont thknk i would decribes any of the high tpi tyres as puncture resistant. They are comfortable but so is a tubeless tyre but that will srlf heal most punctures by itself.
